Wolf Charms

And they are all finished now!

Little wolf charms I promised to make for *ellyloo. She made a half of the Bella bracelet form Twilight series and needed a wolf charm for that. She is now free to choose which one (or two) she wants.


This was a very interesting project. When I read about the charm in the book I thought that it would be cool to try to make one myself, but I had no interest on the rest of the bracelet. Time passed and I forgot all about it.. And then Ellyloo mentioned in her journal that she was short of a good wolf charm for her bracelet. Perfect.
I haven't done much woodcarvings before (most of my carvings I have done out of wax) and especially in this small scale. But boy, it was fun. I'll be definitely continuing with this carving thing at some point.

The order in which they are made, left to right: Round two, three and four. (Where is Round one you ask? It was made of wax, so its not here now..) I'm most happy with the first one, though I'm more than satisfied with the two others too. But the first one has the best proportions and prettiest woodpattern on it. But that's jus my point of view. Heh.

Hand carved wood. The first one has oil finishing and the others are finished with antique wax. Each has a sterling silver loop on its back. 4 to 5 hours in the making each.
